HMCS (later HMAS) Protector, shipwreck by Theresa Hall.

HMCS (later HMAS) Protector was commissioned and purchased by the South Australian Government in 1884 for 65,000 pounds. She served in the Boxer Rebellion, WWI and WWII.
In July 1943 the US Army requisitioned her and on her way up to Papua New Guinea she collided with a tug boat off Gladstone. She was purchased for ten pounds and sunk off Heron Island as a breakwater.
